The Wassara Water-Powered Drilling System is one of the most important innovations in the history of drilling. It is as simple as it is ingenious. Powering the DTH hammer by means of water instead of compressed air makes every drilled meter much more profitable and environmentally friendly. This is based on high rate of penetration and low consumption of diesel fuel. There are many advantages. You can also drill deeper and with greater precision than ever before.
Wassara Hammer W50, W80 HD, W100, W150
The Hammer is delivered with a stabilized piston case. The result is maximum hole straightness and superior precision drilling. All components in the Wassara Hammer are available as spare parts and can be replaced easily. In comparison with traditional pneumatic technology, the Wassara Hammer demonstrates exceptional energy savings. Powered by water, the Wassara Hammer uses less energy and can strike at roughly double the frequency rate of a conventional DTH pneumatic hammer.
Optimized for Wassara
Effective cuttings transport
Excellent wear resistance
Optimized drill bits transmit the power of the Wassara hammer to the rock. Wassara AB has developed a series of heavy duty drill bits, fully adapted to water-powered drilling. The Wassara System places totally different requirements on the design of drill bits than conventional techniques. For example, the Wassara bits have smaller flushing holes and a contact surface that is adapted to the power of the hammer. Wassara drill bits are available in different dimensionsas well as convex or flat face shapes. The correct combination of shape and dimension depends on the geology where the drill bit will be working.
